Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary was established in October 1998 to care for orphaned chimpanzees that have been rescued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority from poachers and/or traders, with no chance of survival back in the wild.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most scenic and diverse park. It is also the second biggest national park occupying close to 1,978 square kilometers. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a world biosphere reserve with a RAMSAR wetland site.

Kibale Forest National Park has the highest concentration of primate species in the world. It is because of this that it is known as the primate capital of the world.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over 370 Mountain Gorillas, accommodating almost a half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. A tour to this park enables you to get up close and personal with these rare Great Apes.
