Gorilla Tracking: Mountain Gorilla Tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.
The overall population of the gorillas is estimated to be 880 and the majority are found in Uganda and Rwanda. This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking wild experiences on earth. You get close to these awesome giant primates. Tracking gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience.
Chimpanzee Tracking: We handle chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, Ngamba Island, Budongo Forest, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park (Uganda) and Nyungwe Forest National Park (Rwanda). We have chimpanzee habituation experience tours that allow one to spend some time with the chimpanzees as they go on their day’s activities.
Cultural Tours: While on safari with StarMount Safaris, you will be able to meet and interact with people of different cultures, for example, the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania, Karamojongs in Uganda, Batwa in Rwanda and Uganda, Zulu and Xhosa in South Africa, Ndebele and Kalanga in Zimbabwe and Tswana, Kalanga in Botswana.
These people have a distinctive and rich cultural heritage and dress style which makes them a famous tourist attraction. You can also visit Buhanga Forest where all Rwandan Kings were initiated.
National Parks: Let us take you to the National Parks in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Botswana and Zimbabwe where you will be able to see the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and Leopard.
You will also be able to see the endangered white and black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, giant hogs, giraffes, hippos, etc.
You can experience one of the “Seven Natural Wonders of the World”, the greatest wildebeest migration from the Seregenti National Park (Tanzania) to the Maasai Mara National Park (Kenya) and vice verse when herds cross plains and rivers as seasons change. This is usually from July to September.
Birding: East Africa and Southern Africa have a variety of bird species. StarMount Safaris has specific birding tours. We are able to take you to Matobo National Park, Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe), Okavango Delta and Chobe River (Botswana), Aberdare National Park (Kenya), Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga National Park, Kibale National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison National Park etc (Uganda) for a rewarding bird watching.

Mountain climbing: We offer mountain climbing tours on Mountain Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) and Mountain Rwenzori (Uganda). Rwenzori National Park was established in 1991.
It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 because of its outstanding beauty with a wide diversity of flora and fauna. Mountain Kilimanjaro stands at the summit of Africa, 5,895 metres (19,336 feet) above sea level. It is the world’s tallest free-standing mountain.
