Day 1: Arrive in Rwanda
You will be welcomed by your tour guide who then transfers you to the hotel to check-in. After settling in your hotel and resting, the guide picks you up to start off your Kigali city tour. From this tour, you get special experience about Rwanda and the city during the pre-colonial period, colonial and post-Colonial periods i.e. through independence, genocide period and current trends. This is done by visiting different sites in Kigali and its suburbs. Return to the Hotel in the evening for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Boat cruise
After having breakfast, the guide picks you from your hotel and transfers to Akagera National Park. Akagera National Park is located in the northeast of Rwanda along the border with Tanzania. It was founded in 1934 although much of the park was re-allocated as farms and in 1997 the park was reduced in size from more than 2,500 sq km to its current extent of 1,122 sq km. It is named after the Akagera River that flows along its eastern boundary and feeds into a labyrinth of lakes of which the largest is Lake Ihema. The forest-fringed lakes, papyrus swamps, savannah plains, and rolling highlands combine to make Akagera amongst the most scenic of reserves anywhere in Africa. It has exceptional levels of biodiversity and forms the largest protected wetland in central Africa.
On arrival, you check-in and relax as you await your lunch. Then in the afternoon, you are picked up to go experience a boat ride on the on Lake Ihema. With this boat safari, you will be able to adventure Lake Ihema in Akagera National Park. This lake has got one of the largest concentrations of hippos in East Africa which is a sight to behold and there are also many crocodiles that you will find along the shores of the lake. There are many water birds that can be seen while on a boat ride on Lake Ihema and you might be able to spot a shoebill stork. Other animals like the elephants can find their way to the lake to bathe and this gives you the opportunity of getting closer to them than you would be in the vehicle on a game drive. Return to the lodge to have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive & Transfer to Kigali
Have an early morning breakfast then head out for your Game drive. You will have an opportunity to see over 12 species of antelopes, 525 species of birds including the rare one called the shoe bill stock, papyrus gynolek and the big 5 i.e. Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Buffalos and Elephants to mention but a few. Explore the pastoralists' heritage experience in the afternoon then head to Kigali.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking and visit to Buhanga Forest
Early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters to track one of the last remaining mountain gorilla families in the world, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thereafter in the afternoon, you will go for an excursion into Buhanga forest, a place where all Rwandan Kings were initiated or alternatively drive to the beautiful twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Cultural experience & Transfer back to Kigali
On this day you shall visit Kinigi cultural village in Ruhengeri to enjoy the unique dancing styles of the Rwandans known as "Batwa", then go for the thrilling banana and sorghum beer production experiences. Thereafter you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home.
