On this safari heading to western Uganda, you visit two National Parks i.e. Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, game drives to see animals like lions, hyenas, leopards elephants and many more and Lake Mburo National Park. However, Queen Elizabeth also has other interesting things to sight like dozens crater-lakes, salty and fresh water lakes, views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

You arrive at Entebbe International Airport where a representative or driver/guide from StarMount Safaris will welcome you to the Pearl of Africa and transfer you to Imperial Resort Hotel in Entebbe for overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You are up at 6.00 am. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and be ready to commence your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park at 6.30 am. The 7-hour drive takes you through Uganda's leafy central plains - driving through tea plantations in or near Fort Portal town, before heading down into the rift valley, with the Rwenzori Mountain ranges in the distance on your right and the rift valley on the left. On arrival, you will check-in at your chosen lodge and enjoy a late lunch. After lunch, you can relax at the lodge and later visit Katwe Crater Lake where local people have mined for salt for centuries.

 Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Safari along Kazinga channel

After an early breakfast at 6.00am, your guide together with a game ranger will take you on a game drive to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Kasenyi track in search for lions, hyenas, buffaloes, leopard, water bucks, bush bucks, Uganda Kob plus many bird species including ibis, fish eagles and vultures etc. You will head back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.

After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel – a natural channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. On the cruise, view great numbers of wildlife including elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and large numbers of birds like eagles, kingfishers, eaglets converging at the channel waters to enjoy a sip of the natural waters. You will then be driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

This morning, after breakfast, you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park – one of two parks in Uganda where it is allowed to go for a bush walk with an experienced ranger to see game at close range. You could choose a bush walk, horse-back safari or ride in the park on a mountain bike as you view game. You check-in at Mihingo Lodge and enjoy lunch. After lunch, you can choose two optional activities including a mountain-bike safari ($15 p.p extra not included in cost) or a horseback safari ($60 p.p extra not included in cost) for 2 hours. You will spot buffalo, zebra, gazelle etc as you ride while also enjoying wonderful scenery along the way. After your walking safari, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 5: Drive to Entebbe and Depart

Wake up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will depart Lake Mburo headed to Entebbe via Kampala with a stop at the Equator Crossing where you can do fun photos and purchase a Ugandan souvenir. After, you complete your transfer to Entebbe in time for you to check-in for your departure flight to Nairobi.
