Zanzibar Island is locally known as Unguja but as Zanzibar internationally. It is characterised by beautiful sandy white beaches with fringing coral reefs and the magic of historic Stone Town that is said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa.

Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
Upon arrival meet and greet our local representative. Transfer to Hotel, Free for own activities. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 2: Stone Town Tour & Spice tour
Morning breakfast at hotel, later proceed for a tour to the magnificent stone town. A tour to this stone town will take you to all major sites of this unique intact Swahili coastal trading town, now a UNESCO world heritage site. Your guide will take you to the former slave market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, Tippu Tip’s house, the Palace Museum and the Maruhubi Palace ruins.
After your lunch, your guide will take you to the plantations and private gardens, forests surrounding stone town to search for the spice plants that Zanzibar is famous for. Depending on the season you may see up to 50 different species, picking nutmeg from the forest floor or peeling the bark off a tree to discover it is cinnamon. Option to visit slave chambers afterwards. Late evening return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 3: Tumbatu Island Snorkeling Trip
After your breakfast at hotel, you will board a hope dhow that takes you to Tumbatu Island, just off the coast of Kendwa. This island is one of the last unspoiled/uncontaminated paradises of Zanzibar, where tourism has not yet reached. You will spend the day snorkeling and relaxing on the dhow, then head to the beach for a lovely local lunch of grilled fish and local produce. You can choose a full day tour, returning at sunset to Nungwi village or a half-day tour returning just after lunch.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Private Nungwi and Kendwa Sunset Dhow Cruise
You will have your morning breakfast then spend your day relaxing. You could also use your free time to do some shopping as it will be your last day in Zanzibar. Later in the evening you will enjoy the magical colours of an African sunset from a local dhow, the ancient sailing vessel of the Indian Ocean. As the smells and sounds of the village begin to fade into the wind you will be served drinks while you savor the feeling of wind through your hair and enjoy the setting of the sun over Zanzibar. Day 5: Airport Transfer & Departure
Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to the airport in time for your flight.
